NASC Mexico City
From Ivano "Coach" Corazza
Not only was our Skal Canada AGM and Spring Board Meeting informative, and educational, as well as a great round table discussion regarding membership, attrition, and recovery.
In addition to the meetings, the following events were available to all attendees.
Early arrivals on Thursday were treated to a Rooftop Poolside Welcome Party, complete with food stations, Host/Cash Bar, and entertainment.
Friday morning, after the Opening Ceremonies we were entertained by local dancers and their history. We also had the opportunity to listen to a few great speakers. Lourdes Befho, President of Marketing Communications for Alchemia Group (BIO LINK). Larry Rubbin, Managing Partner Latin America also spoke to the attendees. Local University students studying Culinary Arts had a few food stations and demos on local fare.
A new networking event involving all members and invitees as well as local Industry operators was held and well attended.
Friday night we were treated to a special evening outside the property. A dining celebration was held. The theme was "The Day of The Dead!!!". Dinner, entertainment, face painting, and a beautiful display.
After an all-day meeting on Saturday, it was time to change into our best 80's outfit and attend our Gala Farewell Dinner. Headbands, ankle warmers, fingerless gloves, Big Hair, Shutter Glasses, Robotic Dancing.
It is always a pleasure to attend NASC. Making new friends, seeing old friends. You must attend a NASC to truly understand the meaning of Skal.
Sunday morning breakfast is always a sad time, as we must say goodbye to all our fellow Skal members from around the world.
